This policy explains what personal data Business Hub by ANJE collects, why we collect it, how we use it, and the rights you have over it.

Business Hub is a platform operated by ANJE — Associação Nacional de Jovens Empresários, a non-profit association headquartered in Porto, Portugal. ANJE is the data controller for the personal data processed through this platform.

Account data: name, email address, password, language preference and the role assigned to your account.
Profile data: company name, type (SME, startup, technology provider, association), sector, country, website, company description, logo, contact person's first and last name, optional avatar and LinkedIn URL.
Content you publish: posts in the Feed, favourites, expressions of interest, connection requests and direct messages exchanged with other users.
Access requests and contact messages: information you submit through the request-access and contact forms.
Technical data: authentication tokens, session metadata and basic logs strictly necessary to operate and secure the service.
To operate the platform: authenticate users, host profiles, deliver the Feed, enable connections, favourites, expressions of interest and direct messaging.
To manage access: review access requests, send invitations, allow password reset and keep accounts secure.
To communicate with you: respond to contact messages and send service notifications related to your account or activity.
Legal basis under the GDPR: performance of the user agreement (Article 6(1)(b)), our legitimate interest in operating an ecosystem for our members and partners (Article 6(1)(f)), and your consent where specifically requested.
Other authenticated users of the platform can see public profile fields (such as company name, type, sector, country, website, description and logo) and any content you publish in the Feed.
The contact person's name, avatar and LinkedIn URL are visible to users you are connected with.
Direct messages are visible only to you and the user you exchange them with, and to ANJE administrators where strictly required to operate or moderate the service.
We do not sell your personal data.
We rely on trusted technology providers to host the platform, the database, the storage of logos and avatars, transactional email and the AI features. These providers act as data processors and may store data in the European Union or in other jurisdictions with adequate safeguards.
All providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data and to process it only on our documented instructions.
We keep your account and profile data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it to comply with a legal obligation or to resolve disputes.
Contact messages and access requests are kept for the time necessary to handle them and for a limited period afterwards for auditing and security.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of previous processing.
Most rights can be exercised directly from your profile page, or by contacting us via /contact. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Portuguese supervisory authority (CNPD).
We apply technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit, row-level access controls on the database, role-based access for administrators and regular security reviews. No system is fully immune to risk, but we take security seriously.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The 'last updated' date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change. Significant changes will be communicated through the platform.
